About APhO




As a member of the APhO fraternity, India shall host the 22ndAPhO from 14th May 2022 to 22nd May 2022. The responsibility for organising APhO related activities in India lies with the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).The IAPT, a voluntary organisation of Physics teachers was established in the year 1984 by the great visionary, (Late) Dr. D. P. Khandelwal, with active support from some Physics teachers, with the aim of upgrading the quality of Physics teaching and Physics teachers at all levels. It is a registered body with about 8000 life members spread all over in about 1500 organisations throughout the country including about 100 members from abroad.APhO 2022 is dedicated to the centenary year of Prof. D.P.Khandelwal. The nodal institute for the organisation of APhO-2022 is Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU), Dehradun..
